Thank you for your interest in volunteering as a Station Instructor for the Workshop Series at World of Coffee in San Diego from April 10-12, 2026.
SCA Workshop Station Instructor positions are roles that support hands-on workshops, offering an excellent opportunity to earn credits for a complimentary badge, expand your network, and apply your expertise. Station Instructors assist the Lead Instructor with preparation for the workshop and provide demonstrations and guidance to attendees based on the Lead Instructor's directions. Station Instructors are also eligible for all of the perks offered to volunteers, such as a volunteer shirt and pin, access to the Volunteer Lounge and an invitation to the Volunteer Reception.
Supporting one workshop earns a complimentary 1-day badge, with the option to upgrade to a 3-day badge at a discounted rate. Supporting two workshops earns a complimentary 3-day badge to World of Coffee.
Applications will be reviewed based on experience, qualifications, and references. If you're interested in this role but lack some of the required qualifications, we can recommend alternative general volunteer shifts.
**Who You Are**:
You have prior teaching or training experience relevant to the workshop's subject matter.
You can be on-site for the full duration of the workshop, including at least one hour before and up to 30 minutes after (up to 4.5 hours in total).
You're available to participate in an online rehearsal if requested by the lead instructor.
You can provide two professional references.
