Welcome to the volunteer registration page for various roles available in Melbourne, Australia, at the 2020 World Coffee Championships (WCCs).

Before you begin, please read all of the information below.

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION

How to register:

1. Select the volunteer shifts you are interested in below.


2. Answer the general volunteer questions.


3. Receive an email confirming your shift, and reminder emails as the date approaches.


4. Work your volunteer shifts at the 2020 Melbourne WCCs.

Please note: we will do our best to have you working at the shift(s) you have selected. However, you might be asked to do other tasks different than what you were expecting while volunteering.

LEAD BARISTA SHIFTS

Holding a SCA certificate (current SCA or heritage SCAA/SCAE certifications) is preferred but not compulsory when applying for the lead barista shifts at the espresso bar and brew bar.
If you have such certificate, please email it to volunteer@worldcoffeeevents.org.

EARN A COMPLIMENTARY SHOW BADGE

Volunteers can earn a complimentary show badge by registering for the required amount of shift hours, and fully completing them on-site. Volunteers that are fully registered before September 14 can earn a badge with a shorter commitment. From September 14th onwards, the minimum number of hours rises.

Earn a 3-day MICE Show Badge:

• By September 14th - 12 hour commitment


• From September 14th onwards - 16 hour commitment

SIGN-UP INSTRUCTIONS

• Once you select a shift, this will not be available for others to choose. We are counting on you to fulfil your volunteer commitment for the shifts you select.


• Each position has a brief role description to help you understand what will be expected.


• The times listed are the actual times of the volunteer commitment. You are expected to arrive onsite before your shift, so that you have enough time to find your area before your shift starts.


• We expect you to attend your volunteer shift. Attendance will be checked onsite. You cannot share your shifts with other people.

CANCEL POLICY

SCA must receive written notice to kayla@worldcoffeeevents.org prior to April 20, 2020 if you are unable to fulfill your volunteer commitment. If notification is not received before September 20, 2020 and you do not complete your volunteer shift(s), your credit card will be charged for the full price of the WCC pass determined by your Member/Non-Member status and the ticket price on the date you registered.
